Air Medical Transport (DE) (.5hrs)

The course will review best practices for establishing and managing a helicopter landing zone, including site selection, size requirements, hazard identification (wires, debris, slope), nighttime considerations, coordination with flight crews and Massachusetts SWTP indications. Safety principles will be reinforced throughout, with a focus on scene control, communication, rotor safety, and risk mitigation for ground personnel.

Designed for EMTs, paramedics, and fire-based EMS providers, this session aims to enhance operational readiness, interagency coordination, and scene safety when utilizing aeromedical resources.
